A handmade stoneware dish with a woodland bird perched atop its edge. Built from creamy clay and impressed with vintage lace, each dish and bird is modeled with a unique personality. A perfect piece to sit on your dressing table – ideal for storing earrings and other precious items. Will be posted out first class. Measures approx 9cm x 9cm I’m afraid earrings are not included! I hand make these dishes in small batches. Your item might have slight variations to those pictured but will be just as pretty. Every item is individually handmade and no two will ever be perfectly identical - I think this makes each piece extra special.

I wanted to incorporate my love of nature with a dash of whimsy, creating useable homeware items that would make unique gifts. The making process is lengthy with many stages.... -Hand making, impressing lace and forming dish in porcelain -Hand modelling and attaching bird, then drying time -Bisque firing to 1070 degrees -Cooling -Glazing -Glaze fire to 1260 degrees -Cooling again
