Full description

This little bird measures, 9 cm long and 6 cm high. I modelled the shape of the bird first then made a mould, then cast with semi-porcelain slip and fire to 1100 degrees centigrade. Using acrylic paint I decorate the bird, first with lilac then I add individual feather marks in cream, each one is a single brush stroke. I then varnish to protect the decor.
