Loved or loathed, never ignored. Malcolm Mclaren was responsible for a lot of diverse art and music. Crossing borders and genres, he fused music from sub cultures across the world in a fashion that showed how alike we all are. From Adam and The Ants to The World Famous Supreme Team his influence and impact is sometimes unseen but always explicitly stated.
Our tribute samples one of his quotes and is typeset using the 1978 typeface Benguiat from New Yorks' finest typographer, Ed Benguiat.
"There are two rules I've always tried to live by: turn left, if you're supposed to turn right; go through any door that you're not supposed to enter. It's the only way to fight your way through to any kind of authentic feeling in a world beset by fakery."
