About elfin alchemy

elfin alchemy

Bewitching beautiful wearable works of art, colourful creative sparkling sculptural jewellery designs created for you by elfin alchemy, perfect for gifts

Hello, my name is Sam Rowena, wishing you a lovely welcome to my world of elfin alchemy, you are entering a bewitching place, full of sparkles shimmering in the sunshine.

The mystical magic of our ancient ancestors fascinates and inspires me, I love creating spiritual symbols and motifs - spirals, scrolls, hearts, circles, Celtic designs, and other sculptural shapes - and turning them into timeless wearable works of art that bring you joy when you wear them. Like an alchemist at work, I design, experiment, and transform healing copper or sterling silver wire, mix it together with beads, my abstract fused glass, and other elements to create my bewitching beautiful elfin alchemy jewellery.

All my unique earring, pendant, necklace, bracelet, and brooch designs are lovingly handcrafted by me in Lancashire from my studio-workshop. My aim is to create original and unique jewellery that captures the sunshine to help you sparkle!

A bit about my background:
After graduating from college with a BTEC HNC in Design I worked as a designer, before retraining as a teacher and studying silversmithing in my spare time. I've been making jewellery for over 30 years, creating my own bespoke jewellery to wear myself and to give as presents. For a long time, it was purely one my hobbies, but I wanted to advance my skills and being unable to find any jewellery making classes, 15 years ago I began teaching the classes I really wanted to be a student on, with an emphasis on design and creativity. Up until a few years ago, I taught these at different colleges, galleries, alongside running my own classes, enjoying their creative vibe and sharing my passion with others. Now I feel ready to spend more time experimenting and developing my own collections further.

Join me on my journey and discover some elfin alchemy treasure for yourself. They make a perfect treat either for you or as a gift. Happily, you can find my work in a few galleries across Lancashire, and at events (although not many of them are running this year) where I love meeting customers and chatting about my craft.

I'm new to Folksy and am looking forward to being part of the creative community here, come by and say hello...
