Nature inspired fused glass decorations.
I consider my glass to be 'design lead', by that I mean that every piece starts as a drawing (usually from life), then becomes a line drawing and a cutting plan. I make several test pieces before going into production. I like designing a range of items with a clear theme, that I can expand.
I use Bullseye 'art' glass and also recycle float glass.
My influences are my personal history growing up in Parkgate and Hoylake, on the Wirral, and what surrounds me. I have a garden studio and for the last 18 months have been consumed by the activity outside.
I trained as a graphic designer at Liverpool Polytechnic and worked as a designer for a few years before going into computer games and rising through the ranks. I spent 35 years in games and now work full time at my glass practice.
I am a member of The Art and Craft Guild of Lancashire and also a local group, Warrington Creative Collective. With the Guild we have a number of exhibitions each year in the NW. WCC arrange events, classes and local Open Studios.
I take part in various artisan fairs around the NW but mainly supply shops all over the UK.

I have become interested in stuffed birds in cases (too many trips to Victorian museums), and plan to make my own version, glass birds under a glass dome. No birds will have been harmed in the making of these pieces!
I am adding new designs to my birds range and plan to revisit butterflies, and start looking into small mammals in glass. I also make commissions on a variety of subject matter.
