About this item
a spooky bookmark featuring a trio of sweet spirits. one of a little collection i made for a bit of halloween fun, as seen in the group photos. this rustic, grungey bookmark was made using 640gsm khadi paper (a cotton rag paper handmade in india.) i have added a variety of vintage paper scraps, book pages and tissue papers, paint and inks, in thin layers, to create a grungy style background. the ghosts are drawn on a separate piece of thinner khadi paper, and coloured with watercolour and metallic paints, before being cut out and then added as a final layer. measures roughly 15cm by 4cm, and has a ribbon tassel made from a strip of frayed cotton. illustration on the front only, with collage and a little heart 'signiature' on the reverse (pic 5). a totally unique piece of handmade paper art for any creepy cute fan and / or book lover!

Bought 2 itemsTwo more perfect pieces from this talented artist. I love the attention to detail in the expressions. The little fallen flower phantom looks so surprised and the jolly Jack has a definite glint of mischief.
