About this item
A hand-pieced patchwork quilt top (hexagons and diamonds) in a 'star' formation (7 x 7 multicoloured stars). Each row of stars is joined together with hand-pieced diamonds and large hexagons in a small neutral/white seed patterned cotton fabric. Two borders of different widths have been added by machine using the same neutral/white seed patterned cotton. An 80% cotton/20% polyester wadding has been used for the middle layer. Each 'star' has been outline quilted by machine. The borders have also been machine quilted 'in the ditch'. The backing is a navy/cream 'sun, moon & stars' cotton fabric. This fabric has also been used for the double binding for the quilt. Measurements: W: 52" (132cm) x L: 59" (150cm)
