Wooden keepsake box handpainted with an ornamental bird and flowers.

This beautiful one of a kind keepsake box would look lovely in any space while keeping your small treasures safe and secure. A unique gift option for Christmas and birthdays. A pine wooden box measuring 6inches long, 4inches wide and 2inches deep with a hinged lid and closing clasp. It has had two coats of black acrylic paint then I painted and drew intricate birds and flowers on the top and around the sides as well as on the underside of the lid. I used a mix of pastel purples, pinks and whites that really pop against the black. I also gave it several coats of Rustins interior wood varnish matt finish making it durable and easy to wipe clean while giving the piece a lovely shine. Your keepsake box will be nicely wrapped with tissue paper and shredded raffia paper inside a brown cardboard box with an outer layer of packing plastic and fragile stickers applied. I use Royal Mail 2nd class service for this item which is included in the price, I will email when I post it out. To care for your box please don't submerge in water or use abrasive cleaning methods, wipe clean with a dry or damp cloth. I was inspired to create this piece while making other smaller boxes loosely based on the Ukranian laquer boxes, my Grandad had one I used to see when I was little and I made some based on that idea.
