Damaged Mason's Regency Plate C4475 Consett, Co Durham February 2026 Handcrafted into Earrings March 2026 While shopping in Consett, Co Durham I came across a lovely but sadly damaged Mason's plate, circa 1930's pattern. I placed it in a strong fabric bag and dropped into a box, this created random unique shards. I like to work with what's been created, the shapes dictate the final piece. These earrings are made from the rim of the plate, a lovely distinctive pattern. Front glaze in tact, back, sides polished and smoothed, finished with Eco Friendly Matt Sealant. The finished piece isn't meant to be perfect but instead retain part of the original character, including marks and scratches, all part of the history of the materials used. Ceramic and Sterling Silver is either recycled or repurposed and often show tiny marks left by the process of creation and recycling. Each Earring approximately 25 mm x 6 mmx 2 mm. Hanging on fish hook made from recycled sterling silver. Delivered in gift box made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Presented on Jewellery box insert made from tall oil, a by-product of paper production. Complete with short bio, cleaning cloth and FSC®-certified gift bag.

All ceramic personally collected from river banks, charity shops, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each item comes with a short bio. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece. Ceramic will show marks, scratches and imperfections, all part of its history and journey.
