About this item
Sometimes I like to have a bit of a play and there are some places that give my mind the freedom to do so. Kinder Scout in the Peak District is one of those. The rocky little crags back lit by a cloudy moonlit sky is an image that jumped to mind after a day long hiking across this amazing plateau. Dimension: the painting it's self is 10"x8" and framed it's 11"x9".

I always try to capture the feel of a place, it's spirit and sometimes that means letting the landscape take me out of my comfort zone. This is one of those places. It was a very grey day when we were there which meant that we had it to ourselves and were able to really take our time. Once back, drying out in front of a fire I couldn't help this how it would feel to be up there overnight. This painting is the result of that.
