This hare is inspired by Jack Valentine, Norfolk’s quietly mischievous February gift giver. For generations, Jack has been part of Valentine’s Eve — a soft knock at the door, a surprise left behind, and the giver gone before anyone can catch a glimpse. Some remember tiny parcels, others recall sweets or handmade notes, all wrapped in that delicious mix of mystery and kindness.
When my sister and I were little, we waited for that knock — two small gifts on the doorstep, never once seeing who left them. That feeling of warmth in the middle of winter, that spark of wonder, is woven into my illustration of Jack ‘Rabbit’ Valentine: a playful hare shaped by Norfolk folklore and the long‑eared jackrabbit of old tales.
This plush hare is my way of passing that magic on — a soft companion for Valentine’s Eve, a gentle nod to the tradition, and a keepsake ready to become part of your own family’s ritual.
Safety information
This plush hare is CE & UKCA certified and suitable for children aged 3 years and over. It features securely stitched eyes and soft, high quality plush fabric. As with all personalised and decorative soft toys, please supervise younger children and avoid use in cots or during sleep. Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Keep away from open flames.

Meet the Personalised Jack ‘Rabbit’ Valentine Plush Hare - a soft, storybook companion inspired by the quiet magic of Valentine’s Eve. Rooted in Norfolk’s old February custom of Jack Valentine, this hare is designed to be part of that cherished moment: the gentle knock, the secret gift left behind, and the little flutter of excitement that has brightened winter nights for generations.
Your hare is hand printed by me in my Norfolk studio with:
"You Are So Loved” and your chosen name (in black)
your chosen initial (in Valentine Red)
plus my illustrated Jack ‘Rabbit’ Valentine, taken from my original ink and watercolour artwork. Placement of the hare may vary slightly depending on the initial, to ensure the best visual balance.
Available in two sixes - a large, cuddly hare or a tiny keyring hare that can be unclipped and kept as a pocket friend. The large hare sits beautifully thanks to weighted ceramic beads, making it perfect for shelves, bedsides, or cosy corners. The smaller hare is ideal for keys, bags, or little hands - a tiny wanderer ready to travel with you.
Both hares are wonderfully soft, CE & UKCA certified, and made from high quality plush fabric with stitched eyes. They make thoughtful Valentine’s Eve surprises, heartfelt February gifts, or comforting keepsakes for children (3 years and over), partners, friends, or anyone who could use a little warmth in the long stretch after Christmas.
