Description

Striking bracelet featuring a 12x8mm Malachite tie shaped focal stone, highlighted with 2mm copper spacers. The circle is made up of 4mm round beads of Malachite and Black Onyx separated by 3mm AAA grade faceted Green Onyx highlighted with 2mm Black Onyx and 3mm copper. The Malachite is a beautiful, vivid green with black banding, the faceted Green Onyx adds a lovely sparkle and the copper a touch of warmth and shine. Handmade in my home workshop here in beautiful Devon in the UK, this would make a gorgeous gift for a birthday, anniversary, best friend or as a treat for yourself. This stretch bracelet measures approximately 6.75 inches (17cm). Your bracelet will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a pretty organza gift bag. Price includes delivery within mainland UK.

Malachite is a beautiful, vivid green stone with concentric swirls of black. The colour comes from the presence of copper. Mined in Egypt as early as 4,000 BC, it was used both for ornamental purposes and ground to a powder to form paint and cosmetics. In the middle ages, Malachite was worn to ward off evil and to protect travellers. It was believed the stone could detect impending danger, and would break as a warning to the wearer. The merchants who traded in gemstones believed that Malachite attracted wealth, and would wear a piece of Malachite during transactions.
