About this item
Being by the sea is just magical for me. I've tried to capture that feeling. This picture is one of a series of 3, it was made using free motion machine embroidery worked over a fabric collage. Most of the fabric is recycled. Hand stitching adds details in the foreground and hold materials in place securely. I've used found materials for the objects on the beach including food netting. There is no glass to allow full appreciation of the textures. This item will be securely packaged and shipped by Royal Mail. Size Frame11x13 inches Art work. 5x7 inches

Hi, welcome to Stitched Works, where everything is designed and hand made made by myself. (Except for the buttons) I strive to create high quality pieces using repurposed and vintage fabrics. My inspiration usually comes from a place, where I’ve felt an emotional connection. I think of my art as capturing a sense of time and place, a small moment in time. The cords and fastenings used for the pendants and brooches are new. I will usually post items 2nd class, with Royal Mail, within 24 hours of receiving an order. I recycle packaging when possible.
