About this item
A square greetings card with a cute little chick in a santa hat hatching from a blue and white pysanka (a traditional Ukrainian decorated egg). The egg is decorated with snowflake patterns and the chick has taken on the same design as the egg. The card is blank inside for your own message, and could be suitable for someone with a Ukrainian connection or for a baby's first Christmas. The Christmas chick design is printed on a 14cm (5.5") square white card with a 270gsm weight and comes with a white envelope. Both the card and envelope are 100% recycled. The egg card will be packaged in a bio-degradable and compostable vegetable starch bag to keep it protected in the post. If sold, 50% of the item price of this card will be donated to AUGB's Help Ukraine fund. Code: X-HCP

Inspired by the Ukrainian tradition of pysanky - decorated eggs. Imagining what it would be like if these eggs weren't decorated by hand but were laid by beautiful birds, with the eggs hatching into birds that take on the pattern of their egg. This little pysanka chick is a winter bird, it's egg with a snowflake pattern in cold blues and whites.
