Drop fordite earrings - grey and blue

These dangly earrings feature chubby drops of fordite which has been bezel set in sterling silver and then finished with simple silver hooks. The earrings measure approx 45mm from the top of the hook to the bottom by 20mm across. The shape of the drops is a chubby teardrop that is almost egg shaped but fordite is super light weight so they would be comfortable to wear all day. The fordite has concentric rings of sparkly blue and dark grey on a grey background, most of the colour rings are subtle as they are fine and separated by layers of grey primer but the middle is bright and eye catching. Comes gift boxed. Fordite is the name given to many layers of cured car paint that builds up in spray booths at car factories. The paint gets baked hard in between each layer leading to a durable material that can be cut to show off the many colours. This particular material I bought from a guy who worked at Ford's Wayne Assembly plant and he had collected it from the production line between 2014-18 when they were making C-max and Focus. I cut this material myself so if you love fordite but want something else making drop me a message, I have quite a stash of rough from various eras and manufacturers.
