Full description
This is one of my designs from my Owl Collection.
Handmade with earthenware clay using the slab and pinch-pot method. The features and wings have been attached with slip and defined with sculpting tools. It is then bisque fired and then gently sanded before applying a red iron-oxide wash. The iron-oxide has been applied with a brush and then sponged off. Once dry it has had a second kiln firing to 1080C.
Approximate size: 8cm H x 7cm W
Due to the handmade nature and natural materials each piece is unique with subtle variations in size, shape, and finish.
