About this item
My quirky angel wall-art with iridescent copper plate gold ink highlights. Approximate size: 17.5cm length x 19.5cm wide x 3.5 height This handcrafted wall has been created using the slab-work coiling method. The heart shape has be applied using slip. Once dried it has been bisque fired to 1000C. It and been lightly sanded and hand-painted with three coats of coloured glaze. After glazing it has had a second firing in the kiln to 1080C. Finally two coats of an iridescent copper plate gold ink has been applied to highlight the heart symbol, around the angel's head and the edges. Due to the handmade nature and natural materials each piece is unique with subtle variations in size, shape, and finish. Self-adhesive cork pads have been applied to the base to protect surfaces.
