Tiger's Eye (also called Tiger's-Eye, Tiger Eye, Tigers Eye or Tiger Iron) is a popular member of the Quartz family that is usually amber to golden-brown, with a silky lustre, and displays 'chatoyancy', or 'cat's eye'- the characteristic vertical flash when it catches the light.
In ancient Egypt, the stone was believed to be all-seeing, and was used for the eyes of deities.
Roman soldiers wore it in battle in the belief it would give them the courage and strength of a tiger.
It is still regarded as a stone of courage, strength and vitality, and is popular in both men's and women's jewellery.

Gorgeous Tiger's Eye beads threaded onto black brass ear-wires that are nickel and lead free.
Each earring features a 6x8mm Tiger's Eye tube, set between a pair of 6x4mm Tiger's Eye rondelles, and topped with a trio of 4mm Tiger's Eye round beads.
These AA grade Tiger's Eye beads are a lovely golden-brown, with a silky sheen and the characteristic flash of chatoyancy.
These drop earrings measure approximately 1.35 inches (3cm), excluding the wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
