Square Wooden Wall Clock, handmade in Burr Madrona, Sycamore and Old Ebony.

This Square Handmade Wooden Wall Clock is veneered on the front face of the Dial with a beautiful Burr Madrona timber and on the rear face with oak. The hour markers are inlaid squares made from striped sycamore and ebony that contrast with the Burr Madrona for visibility and align with the white minute, hour and seconds ‘batten’ clock hands. The complete Dial is finished with a contrasting sycamore trim. Madrona (or madrono) is an evergreen tree related to the strawberry tree, with white flowers, red berries, and glossy leaves, native to western North America. The ebony used for the hour markers comes from 1980s stock which I still have in my workshop prior to any ebony export bans. The size of the Dial is determined by the length of the Minute Hand and the sweep of the Seconds Dial provides a soothing presence in your room. The Clock is designed to be enjoyed, like a painting, as part of your wall decor whether you need to know the time or not (!) and is also ideal as a Special Occasion Gift for a loved one.
