Choose from one of 8 MADE TO ORDER elegant rectangular pendulum wall clocks made from solid ‘ripple’ or ‘fiddleback’ sycamore timber (seen on the back of violins with a beautiful ’tiger’s eye’ effect with the play of light on the timber). The rectangular main case has inlaid hour markers and is pierced with various shape options through which can be seen an inlaid ripple sycamore rectangular pendulum ‘bob’. With an average overall size of 405mm x 100mm x 34mm (16” x 4” x 1 5/16”), these clocks can be easily located without taking up much wall space whilst still providing an attractive feature in your home. The gentle movement of the inlaid wooden pendulum ‘bob’ give a soothing presence in your room, thought the clock movement is silent. The clocks also make great birthday, wedding, retirement, housewarming, or Father’s Day Gift as well as a present to yourself. You can cancel the order and get a refund from the maker within 14 days of receipt, provided the item has not been used. Faulty items can be returned within six months of payment being made.

This Collection of Rectangular Wooden Wall Clocks (that I have been exploring since the 1980s) originated in the early 2000s. The display of time is an integral part of the design (as opposed to ‘applying’ a bought in dial or numerals) and the use of a light coloured sycamore timber with contrasting burr madrone and inlaid striped squares ensures clarity and legibility of the time. With the use of beautiful timbers, my clocks are designed to be enjoyed, like a painting, whether you believe in the existence of time or not (!).
