Cornish surfite and silver pendant (copper sparkles)

This unisex pendant features stripey Cornish surfite smoothly bezel set in sterling silver, this particular piece of surfite has a band of unusual sparkly copper/ rose gold. The surfite has diagonal stripes in blue, teal, cream and a very dark red section at the bottom, some of the bands are translucent and the open backed setting allows you to appreciate these. This chunky teardrop pendant measures approx 48mm (inc bail) by 23mm, it comes with a sterling silver snake chain but the bail is large enough to fit a cord or thong if you wanted to swap it over. Surfite is cured epoxy resin waste that builds up during surfboard manufacture, during the glassing stage the excess resin is drained off the board and into a bucket. Once the bucket is full and fully cured the resultant block is normally thrown away but I managed to get Toy Factory Surfboards in Newquay to sell me one and took a saw to it!
