About this item
This ceramic circular snowflake decoration has been handmade using white earthenware clay making each one completely unique. The clay was rolled flat before a wooden block was pressed into the surface creating a decorative snowflake impression. Using a circular metal cutter I cut an asymmetric snowflake design. The clay was then left to dry naturally before being kiln fired for the first time. After this initial bisque firing the snowflake was hand painted with vibrant coloured underglazes and a glittery glaze centre, before being kiln-fired for the final time. It is then strung together with a co-ordinated ribbon and bead, ready to adorn your festive home. The circular hanger is approximately 6.5cm in diameter. The total length including the ribbon is approx. 14cm. This snowflake design is also available as a larger decoration and triangular brooches.
