About this item
Made from white earthenware clay, this hanger is one of a kind. Completely unique and only one available it is handmade from start to finish. Initially texture is applied to the surface of the clay using a series of decorative wooden blocks. I used a tree, star and snowflake to create a Christmas mandala design. Each piece is then air dried for several days before being kiln fired to form bisqueware. Next to the fun bit, applying colour! I hand painted the hanger using a combination of vibrant coloured underglazes. I added scattering of bright rainbow dots for that Utterly Pottery flourish. The hanger is then dipped in a glossy transparent glaze and fired for the final time. Finally the hanger is strung with a complimentary coloured ribbon and glass bead. Ta-da it’s ready to hang! Please note: Due to the handmade nature of this item each hanger is a complete one off! Ribbon colour may vary. The hanger is 9.5cm in diameter and 20cm long (including ribbon)
