Welcome to my Folksy Shop. Most of my work is inspired by Nature and Seasons, with a whimsical touch. I create original textile art, hanging decorations, cards and gifts, using a combination of fabric applique, free motion machine embroidery, hand embroidery and paint.
A lot of my designs are carefully photographed and printed onto cards and bookmarks. make gifts and accessories using Free Motion and Hand Embroidery Techniques.
Imagine these cute little Gnomes hanging on your tree. I'd seen some shelf sitting Gnomes and poof a little light bulb was switched on. I began to sketch out my idea, and after a few failed doodles, the Gnomes came to life and I had a winning sketch.
Next came the fabrics and lots of little stitches to create the cute little Gnomes x

Mini Gnome Ree Decorations by Michelle Corbin Design
Handmade in my home Sewing Studio in the North East of England. These cute little Gnomes have been on my to-do list for quite some time.
The little Gnomes come in various colours, each one sporting their own unique character.
Created using a Free Motion Machine Embroidered Technique and finished with a sparkly star and satin ribbon.
Please note that the fabric placements may vary on each one and therefore won't be exactly the same as the ones pictured, but this does add to their individual character.
Measures approximately 8cm tall
