Full description
These tiny hand-made artist books measure just 2.5 x 2.5 x 0.5 inches (6.5 x 6.5 x 1.5cm). They have 60 pages (30 sheets) of eco-printed cartridge paper, sewn with kettle stitch in black thread. Inside is an alphabet in capital and lower case letters and the numerals 0 to 9, one to a page. The characters have been outlined in ink and coloured in artist-quality coloured pencils, using many different colours and shades.
The eco-printing technique used to dye the paper involves layering it with leaves and other plant material and steaming in a stack until the natural dyes in the plants are drawn out, infusing the paper with subtle patterns and delicate colours. Eco-printed paper has also been applied to the card covers.
