I love trawling local charity shops to see if I can find pre-loved items which I can revamp and give a new purpose. This was one of four plain cream hearts with jute string attached. The original glossy paint was thick and difficult to remove so I ended up leaving the majority of the paint on and lightly keying the surface with sandpaper. In areas where the paint had come off, it revealed that the hearts were made of some sort of stone rather than wood like I had originally thought.

One of a kind hand painted heart shaped hanging decoration with black ribbon. Perfect for cat lovers, this little keepsake features a whimsical folk art style painting of a grey tabby cat with angel wings and a halo.
- Measures approx. 50mm x 60mm x 15mm thick
- Painted with acrylic paint
- Sealed with a UV resistant Satin Varnish
- Initialed 'LMR' and dated on reverse side
- Comes in handmade custom box made from recycled kraft card
PLEASE NOTE: I have tried to determine what the heart is made from. It is definitely not wood or papier mache. It appears to be some sort of stone, possibly sandstone.
