This started as a simple round plate but I started to wonder what it would look like drapped over a vase mould. This is the result and I think it's far more fun to look at than a simple plate!

This unique fused glass bowl is made on a base of clear glass with a vibrant pattern of blue, green and white shapes fused on top. Fused to 800 degrees Celsius and then slowly cooled over 12 hours with an annealing process added to strengthen the glass. It then had a further firing to 720 degrees Celsius to shape it into its final organic form, spending a total of 24 hours in the kiln. Because of its shape it is hard to give precise measurements but it stands approximately 90mm tall, and is 170mm at its widest point.
Price includes postage within the UK.
