Full description
I have made this box from a single leaf of veneer of burr walnut. The figure of the grain is so striking it would not be improved by complicated marquetry.
The box is made of hardwood and veneered all round to good effect.
The lid is fixed with 2 brass hinges and a brass clasp at the front. I have added a soft baize to the base and pads underneath the box.
