About this item
Layers of white enamel built on the domed copper shape are decorated with hydrangea blooms I have painted using tablets of compressed enamel colours, soluble in water. I fired the design at 800 degrees centigrade (red hot). The design is signed with my initials, F H, in painted enamel. The pendant measures 25mm in diameter. It is mounted on a silver plated curb chain, 18 inches (45cm) long. The pendant will be sent, boxed, as shown, by Royal Mail first-class, large letter, signed for.

Flowers are an obvious subject for painted enamels and I have always liked the delicacy of pansies. I feel that the pendant captures that delicacy.
