This is one of my favourite designs, and I wanted to try it in this particular yarn, with its beautiful plummy tones. The button is particularly lovely and has a defnite Art Nouveau look to it.

Full description
This corsage style brooch accessory has been crocheted in a beautiful rayon and cotton ribbon yarn, which has been hand-dyed to have a marbled, shaded look. The overall effect reminds me of crushed taffeta or velvet. The colour is a blend of rich plum tones highlighted with a stunning Czech glass button in the centre. The button is iridescent and the colours change as it catches the light - a mix of rose pinks with flashes of gold. It is hand pressed, hand painted and gilded in 14K gold.
I have backed this piece in toning pure wool felt to give it stability and have attached a silver plated brooch back. It looks stunning as a corsage style brooch on a coat or jacket, dress or bag.
I would also be able to make this piece into a hair accessory, by adding either a silver plated comb or a small toothed crocodile clip, so if you would like this, please ask and I will be happy to oblige!

This item will be wrapped in recycled, acid and bleed free tissue paper and a reusable gift box ( also made from recycled card).
