About this item
This Coronet camera was a bit of a devil to do. The original bellows was too small for my clock movement so I had to make replacement bellows. I dismantled the old ones did some research and after a lot of cursing and fiddling I managed to make replacements but slightly larger. Rather than the leather material originally used I used a matt black fabric reinforced with 40 pieces of card carefully glued in place. The bellows were then carefully folded and fixed to the clock movement. Finally they were glued into the camera. To change the battery, open the back of the camera, Partially colapse the bellows then remove the old battery.. Coronet Rapide was a folding 120 film camera manufactured under license of Coronet Co British camera maker based in Birmingham. It manufactured a variety of cheap box and folding cameras until 1967. The clock movement comes with a 12 month warranty. Battery included

It's a pity to see old cameras thrown out. They are so well engineered . I hate to see them in a cupboard or box by converting them into cameras they make an interesting conversation piece and have many more years of life.
