ABOUT ME
Hello, my name is Claire and I am a Fiber Artist.
Based in the UK I have enjoyed making various arts and crafts items over the years.
Over the last several years I have become a member of the crochet community.
My first project was the granny square which I still enjoy creating today as this is a very versatile project with many designs.
Working my way up (with the help of youtube) I have made many items, started reading and creating my own patterns.
Finding a new stitch or creating a new pattern is what I really enjoy doing.
Creating a new pattern which is something new and modern for all crocheters to use and create.
WHAT DOES 'FIBER ARTIST' MEAN
Fiber art refers to fine art whose material consists of natural or synthetic fiber and other components, such as fabric or yarn. It focuses on the materials and on the manual labour on the part of the artiest as part of the works' significance and prioritizes aesthetic value over utility.
This is the definition from google but with my work I prefer aesthetic and utility.
I love my work to be both beautiful and useful at the same time.

WHY BUY HANDMADE?:
Handmade products are great for the environment. My products do not require a large production facility or noisy factory.
My items are made in my small craft studio.
Handmade is often very local, so it doesn’t travel millions of miles to get to you. When you order from myself, you know that your handmade order is coming from within UK and it’s made here in the UK too.
Unlike gifts that are mass-produced, you will often find unique differences in each handmade item, which really makes the product and the purchase very special. Nobody in the whole world will have exactly the same crochet item as you, and that’s pretty unique!
