“Colourful unique handpainted upcycled beautiful wooden things”

My passion is painting, decorating and upcycling wooden items to give them a new and very colourful lease of life. Each item's decoration is individually designed and handpainted, and therefore unique. I use water-based paints and varnish and apply 4-5 coats of paint and 3 of varnish to make the items as vivid and durable as possible.
The items look good as the pop of colour in an otherwise neutral room, or as part of a vibrant decoration scheme. And they look lovely both individually and grouped - in matching or contrasting colours!
I live in south east London. I have always drawn and painted (especially coloured pencils, oil pastels, acrylic paints, felt tips...) and dabbled in other arty crafty things. After I grew up and acquired my own stuff I started to paint and decorate it - first crockery and then wooden furniture - with the thread running through it all being vivid colours and animal and plant designs. I like decorating - upcycling - things that are used everyday perhaps more than creating a picture for a wall (especially in a small home where wall space is at a premium).
As I started to explore painting more - and also to run out of furniture at home to paint - I began to paint smaller wooden things - picture frames, bowls, ornaments etc. And this passion developed into the items you see here. I hope you like them.
