“Breathing new beautiful life into old furniture”

The best things in life are old, loved and reused. The Caterpillar Chrysalis emerged from my love of yesteryears, vintage china, cutlery, linens and antique furniture are just a few of my guilty pleasures.
Now retired I take time to salvage those old, neglected pieces of furniture which would otherwise go to landfill, and so begins the transformation from Caterpillar to Butterfly. By means of repair, introducing new textures, colours and fabrics, whilst retaining original solid woods, real brass or bronze fixtures, pegs, dovetail and mortise joints, I create unique beautiful pieces. These hand painted revivals have been pre loved, often vintage and as such, they do not have the “factory finish” style, but were built to last, be handed down and really used. So in this ever evolving environmentally conscious world, by breathing new life into old furniture a creative rescue can become a great talking point in your home or business that others can only desire.
With my sweet natured bulldog, Brontë, by my side, I work from my 16th Century Grade II listed Farmhouse, in Wilsden, a small village in Brontë Country, surrounded by the windswept land of heather and wild moors of Yorkshire.
Once complete, my furniture is displayed in the rustic Yorkshire Urban Driftwood studio in Wilsden, West Yorkshire, alongside other beautiful sustainable works by local artists. Well worth a visit!
