Handwoven and Handmade Textiles, made love in Norfolk.

I love all textile crafts, indeed, I taught textiles in school for the first eight years of my teaching career, but nothing
has got me hooked like weaving and spinning.
Once I started weaving about eight years ago on a rigid heddle loom, I just couldn’t put it down, and that’s why I love my work so much.
It’s exciting, every time you warp up your loom it’s like starting a new adventure. What will the end product be, will it be textured or will a pattern be the focus, what sort of fabric will I make and what shall I make with it, what colours shall I choose, bold and bright or subtle and muted?
Most of my work is inspired by my love of the natural world, we are a nature loving family and I soak up the inspiration from ‘Mother Nature’s ’ colours and textures.
I am very lucky to have a big and light airy studio space in the fine city of Norwich. There is much to inspire me in and around my home city.
I love to teach other’s to begin to weave, I guess teaching never leaves you? It’s a great joy to watch other’s becoming hooked like me, excited to start their own weaving experience.
I sell some of my weaving, making gifts and products from handbags, pouches, journals ,scarves, to Christmas decorations..
