Thoughtfully illustrated and crafted prints & gifts

Hello!

My name is Zsazsa (fun fact, Polly Athena are my middle names!). I work from my home in Leeds where I graduated from Surface Pattern and Textile Design at Leeds Arts University where I got to meet many weird, wonderful and inspiring creative people and fell in love with the Yorkshire art scene.

In my spare time I can be found attentively birdwatching, reading, or jotting down silly rhymes and playful ideas – which will often later inform my print narratives. Much of my work takes inspiration from folklore, historical sites and objects, as well as observations of the natural world and its characters. Tactile printmaking, drawing and painting drive my process, though work is often translated into the digital to realise designs. I believe in enthusiastic compassion, and sustainability is important to my practice. I am always looking to explore new angles on a responsible practice, and where possible I source eco-friendly packaging, and use printing facilities local to me to reduce my carbon footprint.
