Mixed media mosaics to inspire and remember

My name is Carrie and I've always loved mosaics. A trip to an arts fair in Florida inspired me to start making my own tiles and lockdown provided the time. My first mosaic was dedicated to the memory of my 14 year old son, Harri, who died suddenly when he was only 14. I've found the process of making the tiles very therapeutic and love designing mosaics for other people for special occasions or in memory of something or someone. I've made some for friends and they encouraged me to open a shop.Each one is unique as no two tiles ever turn out the same.

Buying from me

JHD make customised handmade mixed media mosaics. Boxes or picture frames can be decorated with mutticoloured tiles, mica powders, beads and jewellry. Customers can specify words, colours and pictures that they want in the design. Mirrors can be placed in the centre in gold, silver or rose gold. These designs are inspired by my love of mosaics and the death of my son a few years ago. My first frame had the colours that he loved and words that described him. I find the process very therapeutic. It's beautiful to look at as I find it hard to look at his photo. I've made many for my friends who encouraged me to set up this shop.
