Creating paintings, illustrations and digital doodles inspired by my love of nature

I’m an artist and illustrator working and living in the Scottish Highlands, originally from South West England. I studied Illustration at Southampton Solent University and following a successful career in graphic design I now run my own studio in Drumnadrochit, close to the shores of Loch Ness.

I create watercolour paintings and digital artwork inspired by my love of nature and wildlife. Many of my paintings are directly inspired by things I have seen while out and about hiking, kayaking and exploring the wild corners of the UK.

For a long time the natural world has been a central theme in my work. I have always found animals fascinating and painting them helps me to appreciate and celebrate the amazing things that exist that most people don’t notice. Since moving to the Highlands, I have experienced an even deeper connection to nature now that beautiful landscapes and wildlife are part of my everyday life.

Recently I have been drawing digitally using my iPad as a more portable way to create artwork when I’m out and about in my campervan, or trapped under a sleeping spaniel on the sofa. These digital doodles often feature fairy houses, cute characters and fan art.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me outside hiking, wild swimming and having adventures with my partner and my dog. I am open to commissions of specific landscapes or particular animals, including pet portraits.
