I live and work on the beautiful Gower Peninsular in South Wales. I love being outdoors in nature, swimming in the sea (even in winter!) and walking on our beautiful sandy beaches.
I love collecting shells, stones, sea glass and driftwood which I use in my handcrafted pieces. Everything I use has been found by me locally - I don't buy in shells or tumble to 'create' sea glass. The pieces are exactly as I found them, save for the addition of some varnish so that you can see the colours that I saw when I plucked them from the waves.
I make art with my beach finds, watercolours and embroidery, evoking the spirit of Gower - an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Art is something I only really took up in my 40's, and it provides a welcome release from the stress of day to day life, and caring for elderly parents.
