Beautiful hand crafted journals, sketchbooks and photo albums made just for you.

For as long as I can remember I have always loved books, reading and making things. As a child I used to keep diaries and journals, read as much as possible ( the local library was wonderful), I learnt to knit, sew, and do embroidery. When I was given my first camera I started keeping photo albums alongside my diaries and journals.

Many years later, whilst living in Siena, Italy a few years ago I discovered the art and tradition of bookbinding, immediately I was spellbound, i knew I had to learn more. Very soon I discovered that a course in 'book arts', a 12 week introduction to bookbinding, would be starting the very next week, and they just happened to have room for one more student! I loved it, spending every spare moment I could in the class room.
Back in the UK I continued to study bookbinding at every opportunity, expanding my skills and knowledge, and started acquiring my own bookbinding tools and equipment. I took over the dining room at home (not ideal, especially at Christmas time!) and started making my own journals and notebooks, giving them to everyone I know!
