Most of my work is thrown on the pottery wheel. I throw a wide range of pieces and love to experiment. The artistic double walled vessels are one of the more complex items I throw. It takes a lot of work to get to the final form with quite a few of them ending up in the reclaim bucket because the shape isn't what I had in mind when I first started.
My love of clay and ceramics started at school where I did a GCSE in it; then after a 11 year break I started again at evening classes using it to relax the mind after work. Having spent a number of years doing classes at various colleges I'm now at Turning Earth in London which is an open access studio used by a multitude of talented potters.
My inspiration is drawn from all around but quite often it'll be a random thought that manifests itself as an idea which I can then translate into a clay form. Some of these make it to a final piece, others need work to change the design or just don't work at all.
All pieces on my site are handmade, where more than one item is availabe there may be small differences in the sizes, colours and shape. This is because each piece is individualy made by hand. You may even find a finger print still showing.
