Full description

I've made this one a little more chunky than usual, with a shorter 58mm glass stem in dark rich borosilicate colours.

The end of the razor has heavy metal finials, the handle from top of the glass to the end is 83mm long, and in the centre I've fixed a colourful glass centre piece which was made entirely by hand. There are lots of colours inside it! At the end a band of sea-greens have a strong metallic sheen, really shining and reflecting the light when it moves. It then graduates into deep cobalt blues which is very dark but transparent, with swirls of creams and greens, then moves up to deeper green and opaque dark blue tones again.

The glass I have used is borosilicate glass (commonally known by the 'Pyrex' tradename), which produces deep and dramatic colours that tend to shift and change with the ambient light, and is particularly rich in natural light.

The whole razor can be unscrewed for easy cleaning and maintenance, and even the glass centre can be carefully slid off and washed out as needed. I understand it will also fit Venus cartridges too if you would prefer to use it as a ladies razor instead! ! (If you would like it without the men's cartridge please let me know before dispatch and I can send it for a £1.50 discount)

I have formed the handle by melting glass directly inside a superhot oxygen/propane flame, then annealed it in a microprocessor controlled kiln to improve toughness. However it is glass so should be treated with care, and then it will last a lifetime.
