This razor is made with solid glass, and can take either Mach3 triple blade mens cartridges, or ladies Venus cartridges!
The handle is made with borosilicate glass, (normally known by the 'Pyrex' trade name, the clear glass I use is normally used to make laboratory grade glassware). There are alot of colours both inside and on the outside of this handle! There are yellows, oranges, and hints of purples, and wisps of blues in the main stem, at the far end are lots of metallic blues, and at the razor ends there are reds, blues yellows and purples. The handle has been entirely free formed to make an organic shape, so there will be the odd bubble or blemish, but free forming glass like this does make it a real unique one-off piece of glasswork!
The head has a nickel plate finish, and can take either men's Mach3 cartridges or women's Venus cartridges. I will supply with a Mach3 cartridge, but if you prefer to have it without, or to use it as a Ladies razor I can supply it without for a £1.50 reduction.
The handle alone is 115mm long, it does thin down to just under 6mm at the thinnest point near the base, and is around 10mm diameter at the thick stalk at the top. The glass has been fully annealed in a microprocessor controlled kiln to improve toughness, however it is glass so should be treated with care, and then it will last a lifetime.
