About this item
Waxwings are rather exotic looking birds that come over sometimes in winter from Scandinavia to fill up on berries and fallen apples. It's always an exciting one to spot, with their fancy crests and soft colours. This card features a photograph of my textile portrait 'Fallen Feast' of a waxwing enjoying a windfall apple. The original artwork was worked in free motion embroidery on naturally dyed fabrics. It's professionally printed on matt recycled card, is blank so you can create your own message and comes with a white envelope. The card measures around 12.5 x 12.5 cm and the card and envelope will come to you in a cellophane wrapper to keep them nice and fresh. I've switched to bio-degradable cellophane envelopes but am using up my stock of old ones first. The price includes 2nd class postage within the UK
