About this item
Handmade mushroom trinket pot with a red lid and hand painted white spots, for keeping rings, earrings and small keepsakes together. Its rounded base and toadstool shape make it a cheerful little addition to a dressing table, bedside table or shelf, especially for someone who loves mushrooms and woodland decorations. I make each pot from a natural, water based mineral material with a hard, stone like finish. The red colour is mixed into the material before casting, and I paint the white spots by hand. Lift off the lid to tuck your jewellery or small treasures inside. Each piece is finished by hand, so you may notice small air bubbles, surface texture or slight colour differences. The painted spots vary a little from pot to pot too. A cork pad on the base helps protect your surfaces. Approximate exterior dimensions: 10 cm wide and 10 cm tall. One photo shows the pot beside a standard drinks can for scale. Wipe gently with a damp cloth to clean. Not suitable for the dishwasher or microwave. The jewellery, tray, vase and other accessories shown in the photos are not included. Your order will be wrapped in tissue paper and packaged using reused or recyclable materials wherever possible. Custom pieces are made to order and may take up to 14 days to dispatch. Ready made items are usually dispatched within three working days. Every order is wrapped in tissue paper and carefully packaged using reused materials wherever possible. Parcels are sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48 so you can follow their journey. As every piece is handmade, small variations are part of what makes each one unique. I’ve always loved the charm of woodland toadstools — they’re whimsical, a little bit magical, and remind me of quiet walks in the woods. I wanted to capture that same feeling in something useful, not just decorative. So this little trinket pot came to life, inspired by the classic red and white toadstool but made to serve a purpose. I wanted something that could sit happily on a shelf or bedside table, bringing a bit of joy while keeping small treasures safe. The red colour isn’t painted on — it’s mixed directly into the material before pouring, giving it that solid, even tone that feels as natural as it looks. Each white spot is then hand painted, so no two lids are ever quite the same. It’s playful, but practical too. The shape feels satisfying to hold, the weight gives it presence, and every one has its own small quirks from the handmade process. It’s a piece that makes me smile — and I hope it brings a bit of that same warmth into someone else’s home too.
