Textile portrait - folk art - eco gift - wall hanging - ready to hang

This is an original textile portrait of a woman staring out at us with hope in her eyes. In the background stands an old church which she loves to visit. She can sing to her heart's content and have peace to think. I started this piece by hand painting scraps of fabrics and cut them to use for her face and for areas in the background. I also made felt to include in the sky. I then hand stitched in some detail before using the sewing machine to piece all the elements together. The inspiration for this piece is to keep hope in your heart when things are not going right. The title of the piece is stitched onto the front. Some key features of this textile portrait include: - This is an original abstract textile artwork. - It is ready to hang without a frame so you appreciate all the different colours and textures. I have inserted a wooden dowel on the back in an attached pocket for it to hang on a picture hook. Alternatively, you may wish to have the artwork framed. - The total size is 13 inches in length by 11.5 inches wide. - I've called this work, 'Singing, Even Yet.' - Also included is a note of authentication from me, Susan Betty. - Shipping across the U.K. is included. This original textile collage will be posted out by first class mail. The work will be covered with glassine paper before it is carefully encased in bubble wrap (or equivalent). It will then be secured in a heavy duty mailing materials. Copyright remains with the artist. All rights reserved.
