Kimono Greetings Card

A hand-crafted blank greetings card featuring a patterned origami kimono on a background of printed text. The kimono is hand-folded from two squares and one rectangle of origami paper which features patterns based on traditional kimono fabric designs. The card and envelope are made from recycled cardstock. The decorative background text, which describes how kimonos are made and worn, is printed on recycled paper. The card is 10.5 cm by 15 cm and is blank inside for your own message. It can be used as a birthday, anniversary, thank you or sympathy card, or simply to tell someone that they are in your thoughts. The kimono is a traditional garment made with straight seams and square or wide sleeves, worn full length, with the left side wrapped over the right. It is the national dress of Japan. Each colour and pattern is significant, for example, red for youth, beauty or love, cranes for longevity, cherry blossom for renewal, and so on. The kimono colours and patterns on these cards come in assorted designs. If you have a preference for a particular colour, please let me know in the notes or via a message at the time of ordering. The origami model is from a Dubai-based maker known as 'Colored Paper and Pens'. The card will be shipped within 3 days by second-class mail, with minimal packaging, in a C5 hard-backed envelope.
