Original Botanical Art - Olive Branch Mosaic Wall Plaque

This original botanical art is created in mosaic and features a cascade of Olive branches. Each component is intricately, hand cut from matt ceramic tile. I have used a range of greens which gives the piece a sense of movement and the black and green olives stand out like little jewels. The background is created with three different shades of cream and white which gives a slight shimmer effect. I use beautiful, quality tiles; Winckelmans, Cinca and Emaux de Briare, which are matt ceramic and come in a range of tones. Most of my work is in a muted palette but I have recently embraced some more vivid tones. I hand cut each piece of tessera to create intricate images inspired by nature. The mosaic is mounted on a wooden canvas and the sides are part tiled to frame the plaque and give depth and is complete with hanging wire. Measures 52cm x 26cm x 3cm Due to the wooden frame, this art is suitable for display indoors only. Each wall plaque is one of a kind but I am able to make more in a similar colour palette on request. I am also open to commissions, just contact me for a chat.
