About this item
A hand-made and glazed stoneware hanging decoration depicting 'Memento Mori'. Translating as 'remember death', Memento Mori was a popular funerary art form from medieval times up to around the mid 18th century and a beautiful (if grisly) sight in many very old graveyards and cemeteries. Each Memento Mori is hand decorated in matt underglazes and oxides to produce an authentic old stone-like finish. No two are exactly the same. They have a black ribbon for hanging. Size is approx. 14.5cm wide x 7cm tall Price is per item. I AM A STONEWARE CREATION - I can be safely hung on an outside wall or in your garden.
