About this item
An unusual and quirky sunburst wall clock with a petrolhead feel. It is made from a brand-new quartz 'sweep' clock movement with blue plastic fingers fitted to a body made from reclaimed wood with repurposed spark plugs forming the dial. I machined the wood circular and cut out a recess for the mechanism in the rear. Holes were drilled for the spark plugs to thread into around the circumference. The wood is treated with Danish oil and beeswax polished. Larger spark plugs are fitted at the 3, 6, 9 and 12 o'clock positions. There is a provision made in the rear to hang the assembly on your wall. An individual timepiece for your home, garage or man cave! Features; 9.5"/24cm tall 9.5"/24cm wide 2"/5cm deep Wall hanging Smooth, almost silent motion – no ticking! Battery operated Quality Battery included Complete, tested and ready for prompt dispatch Delivery included

I’ve always liked the sunburst style of clock, so I thought I’d make one with an automotive theme from used spark plugs with a centre boss made from reclaimed wood. They’re very popular too, I’ve made several, though all have been different enough to be unique.
